Five years before Mikhail and Enfys met in that horrid kidnapping. Back when things were easier for the young Russian, when he'd only been in the circus for a year. Back when Luc still chased after Alexandra, and Ilia spoke a little bit more. Carlos was still devious, Clarice was quiet, and well Maximus was Maximus. Let's rewind the clock and look into a bit of the history of the current main cast in the Heaven's circus.

A young man with medium blonde hair and amber eyes was sitting cross legged on a grassy hillside, he lied back lazily and stared at the colourful tents around him. This was his home, it had been since he was six. a whole fourteen years, and what a fourteen years it had been. all in thirteen years he had fallen in love, lost his love, and fallen in love again. so be the french, supposedly.
meanwhile a seventeen year old Korean boy was stretching on the dirt floor of a large red and yellow tent. His long hair was braided tightly, resting over his shoulder, naturally it would rest in between his shoulder blades, when braided anyway. Otherwise it was much longer. An instructor stood over him, lecturing him over how important it was to stretch before a workout. He wasn't paying attention much, focusing on his stretching.

A nineteen year old girl dipped her hands in the chalk bag, her red hair was currently very short. When she'd joined the circus she'd decided it'd be a hassle to have long hair so she had it cut to just above her jawline. It made her look older than nineteen, which came with it's on sort of problems, like her blonde haired stalker. She grabbed hold of the fly bar like her instructor told her. She'd been training for a year straight, working hard to grab a spot as a main performer, not some stupid understudy. A few more weeks of practice and she'd be able to move up. The downside was she'd have to leave her fifteen year old brother behind. Her younger sister had surpassed both of them, showing she had real talent for the trapeze. She needed to catch up to the seventeen year old.
The Seventeen year old sister was walking around the area. Unlike her sister she refused to cut her raven colored hair. Instead she just tied it back in a ponytail when she was training. She still wasn't quite used to the circus life, even though she was a main performer now. It wasn't her choice to join, but her sister was very persuasive. She peeked into the large red and yellow tent, and smiled. She was right, that Asian kid was practicing. She loved to watch him stretch. She wanted to go practice with him, but since she wasn't really an acrobat she had no place in his field of work.
The fifteen year old brother was hanging upside down by his knees from his bar. His hair was super short and spiky. He'd yet to get the piercings he'd be known for in the future, and he was just starting to pick up smoking. He wore a dog collar around his neck, and his black eyes shone with confidence. He had yet to be broken by the Ring Master so he was a rather defiant trouble maker when he was practicing. He reached out and caught his sister, but dropped her almost immediately. "You're heavy!" He shouted at her in Russian. "Ilia's much easier to catch."
Alexandra, the oldest sibling slowly lowered onto the trampoline beneath them. "SHUDDUP YOU ROTTEN RUNT!" She shouted back at him.

"Mun-Hee! are you even listening?!" the instructor shouted at the boy who was snow standing up leaning back into a back bend. "What?" He asked obliviously, falling into an impossible back bend, lifting his feet over his head and staring blank faced at the instructor. "Just do your flexibility exercises and break for lunch." the instructor groaned as he walked doff "Prodigies! FEH!" Mun-Hee smiled in amusement. "Seonsaeng, I can still hear you~" he laughed, flipping onto his feet. His teacher didn't look back, and just walked out of the tent, ignoring Illia as he walked by. "Sore loser..." Mun-Hee sighed reaching down to touch his toes --- Luc sat up and ran his fingers though his hair "J'adore le printemps..." he sighed, his young face framed by little strands of golden hair falling over his face from a cowlick on the top of his head. He had a few strand pinned away from his face with a golden crown-pin. Now I'm sure I know what you will say, but all of this was merely a style choice. Luc was taught to embrace creativity. Out of his pocket he pulled a medium sides crustal ball. He rolled it back and forth on his fingers. this was contact juggling, and with a few more years of practice, Luc would be a master.

Ilia tried not to laugh at how immature the boy was being. She tensed up when the instructor walked by, afraid of being caught, but then again what was wrong with watching someone practice. She shrugged and took in a deep breath before walking into the tent. "Maybe you should listen to him." She suggested, stopping a few feet away. "You could get hurt if you don't." It was possibly the bravest thing she'd ever done in the year she'd been at the circus. She tried imitating his back bend, and succeed, it wasn't as nice looking, and she was wobbling quite a bit. She stuck her tongue out at him.
Alexandra and Mikhal had begun arguing in Russian so badly the instructors had to blow a blowhorn to get their attention again. "QUIT IT, if you can't work together you'll both have to pick something else to do." One of the instructors scolded. "Why couldn't you have been like your sister." The other one said, letting out a sigh. Alexandra was silent for a moment. "I'm done for now." She said, turning to leave. One of the things that could upset her was being compared to her siblings. They didn't even look alike, and yet everyone thought they were some sort of packaged doll set. She exited the tent quickly leaving Mikhail to be the mature one and continue practicing.

"Hey!" Mun-Hee laughed at Illia's backbend "That's pretty good, can you do this?" He sat down and stretched his leg behind his head, and rested his foot on his opposite shoulder. He then did the same thing with his other leg. He smiled like a dork and stood on his hands, with very little effort aside form holding himself up. --- Luc stood up. Alexandra would be practicing, when she finished they could talk, like they always did. They used to be semi-close, Alex and Luc, back then he fully admitted to stalking her, even if he was only joking. Though she was still a bit abrasive, she wasn't as abrasive as she would be in the future, especially towards Luc.

Ilia stared at Mun-hee, it took all her self control to stop her mouth from hanging open. "Uhm...I don't think so." She said. Still she attempted it anyway, and when the pulled one of her legs behind her head and got her to rest on her opposite shoulder she could feel a lot pain. She winced before trying to get the other leg up, but as she tried the first leg came off her shoulder and she rolled onto her back. "Defiantly can't do that." She said, sitting up. "How can you do that?"
Alexandra let out a loud huff as she trudged back to the tent she and her siblings shared. Since she and Mikhail weren't main performers yet, they got a trainee tent, Ilia stayed with them because she felt a trailer by herself would be too unbearable.
"Xandra...why you mad?" A little girl no older than eight tugged on Alexandra's shorts. This was little Clarice. She had long blonde hair, and bright purple colored eyes. "Is the circus not fun anymore?"
An albino boy watched Ilia and Mun-hee from outside the tent. One would be lying if they said he wasn't jealous. Even though he was only Eleven he admired the Russian girl. He watched them carefully, wondering if he should interfere. He was also watching them to see if they would do something against circus policy, so he could report it to the Ring Master.

"I don't know, I've always been able to, it was just uncomfortable until I started training." He smiled unfolding his legs from his back, he sat cross-legged on the floor of the bigtop. "They say I'll be a main performer by my sixteenth birthday, which is in..." he paused and though for a moment "November. The fifth of November." he smiled, his adult teeth were not quite straight yet, he had plenty of growing to get through. He wasn't as tall as he would be in five hears, and he was still very skinny at this age.
--- Luc walked down to Alexandra's tent, he slipped the crystal ball into his pocket. "Mon amie?" he called out "Où est-tu?" he called out, while he looked on the grassy ground for a daisy flower. "Alexandra?"

Ilia blushed when he smiled. She found it cute even though his teeth weren't fully straight. She stared at the floor, her hair immediately covering her face. "Really? You aren't a main performer yet?" She asked. "How long have you been here?"
Alexandra ruffled Clarice's hair. "It's nothing, just a little tired." She said, walking with the little girl to her tent. She spotted Luc nearby and rolled her eyes. "OI, what you doing there?" She asked. "Don't just wait outside people's tents for them!"

"No, I've only been her five years." Mun-Hee said stretching his legs out in a split.
"Well zere you are!" Luc laughed "How was ze practice? Bon?" he smiled resting his hands in his pockets.

Ilia mimicked Mun-Hee's split, and grinned at him. "I've only been here one year." She said, reaching behind her to grab her back leg. "I've been promoted to a main performer, but that's because I'm light weight and easy to catch." She explained, trying not to sound high and mighty. "I'll bet your act will be much greater than mine."
Alexandra frowned. "Terrible, they tried comparing me to Ilia again." She answered, kicking a patch of dirt. "So I left practice early, Mikhail's still there busting his ass."
Clarice looked up at Alexandra. "Ass...what's that?" She asked, showing just how sheltered her father had kept her.

"Don't worry about it Calrice." Luc said looking back at Alexandra "You are a better performer than Illia, you are more determined, more skilled, and you have more experience." he said matter-of-factly. "They worry about talent, but talent is nothing without a drive behind it to improve."
"Oh, it's my choice entirely, I want to get better before I go in front of people." Mun-Hee stretched to the left with his arms, then forward, then to the right, forward, and to the left again.

Alexandra shook her head. "Not really, she's more determined." She informed him. "She actually tried really hard, and practiced a lot more frequently than Mikhail and I did." She let out a sigh. "I'll be a performer before Mikhail though, he's too weak to catch people often enough."
Ilia grabbed her back foot and lifted it up behind her back. She had the flexibility of a dancer, not a contortionist. "Well that's really smart of you." She said, thinking for a little bit. "So do you like it here?"

"Yes, I like it here" Mun he said stretching his arms up high.
"Ah, but I've seen you when you do practice," Luc said "You are very intense when you practice. One should hope Mikhail doesn't drop anyone while you perform. That would be bad." He pulled out the crystal ball from hsi pocket and began spinning it in the palm of his hand.
