An orphanage for the unwanted, the abandoned, the abused. A place that is the very meaning of fear, of hurt, of pain. From the outside, it's a pleasant home for those in need; on the inside, it's a hellhole that nobody can escape. Many of the children living within those da,mned doors plead every day, for someone to take them away, to give them a home, but nobody ever does. Those who come in, in hopes of taking in a foster child, never come out. There are many stories circling within the orphans; that those who own the orphanage kill the adults, and serve them for dinner the next day. Or they never really ever came, and it was all an illusion. There are three floors to the place. The first floor is nice and tidy, perfect to attract people to come in. The second floor is for the female orphans. It was dirty, it smelled like mold and rotted wood, and most of all, the strong stench of bile and blood. The doors were rotted off their hinges, and each room had two old beds, nothing more. The third floor was for the male orphans. It was just as bad as the second floor; except there were odd stains here and there, bloody hand marks on the walls and windows, three beds to each room and dirty mattresses without bedframes. Welcome to Hell. AKA, Home for the Homeless.

(Make whoever you want, it's a small community! xD)
Slowly, a man with black hair and mismatched eyes made his way up the stairs to the second floor; the girls floor. He wasn't sure when it had last been checked, when they had last been served food, if the girls were still alive. He trudged up the messy hall, kicking some children's toys out of the way and stepping on some china dolls heads, making them shatter and break. "Girls?" He called out, slowly retracting the chains he kept over the doors, allowing them to open if the orphans pleased.

A girl with shoulder length white hair hid underneath a bed. Only one of her blue eyes was showing, the other was hidden behind a thick roll of gauze. She had bandages all over her arms, one on her neck, a few on her waist and legs. She wore a simple white knee length dress. She'd shrunk about a foot to make it easier for her to hide. She didn't know where the other girls were hiding, she didn't really care. This was every orphan for themselves, and if that man was checking on them it couldn't be good. She watched his feet from underneath her bed, waiting for him to leave, if she'd be that lucky.

Lou sighed, knowing where she was and kneeling down, grinning at her with an odd look about him. "Why do you always hide in places I can find you?" He cooed slowly, his eyebrows raised. "Come out, you stupid, filthy girl. It's dinner time and all of you disgusting urchins are to be in the dining room." He reached in under the bed and grabbed her arm extremely tight and roughly, pulling her out with all of his strength focused on her one arm.
Above, on the boys floor, chains still covered the doors as a lock mechanism, disallowing them out. The oldest boy in the room, a brunette boy with dark green eyes, sat with his arm loosely around another boy with silver hair and bright green eyes. The silver haired boy couldn't have been more than 10 or eleven, and he looked up to the brunette like a big brother.

Hannah winced, but didn't protest to being dragged out from under the bed. Once she was out from under it she returned to her normal size. She tried to pull her arm out of Lou's grasp. "Let go." She murmured, as she tried to pry his hand off her arm. The pain was bad, not as bad as usual, but still pretty bad.
A silver blonde haired boy sat behind the brunette and silver haired kids. His dark eyes watched them both with much interest. He slowly focused his attention on the door. What was taking the masters so long? He ruffled his own hair a few times out of boredom. He knew better than to approach the two boys in front of him, they did sort of scare him, he would never admit it though.
A woman with chest length white blonde hair took a long drink from a wine bottle as she set the table in the dining hall. She was responsible for dinner time at the orphanage. Along with a few other things. She didn't mind cooking, she just had almost no talent for it. Her taste buds were shot thanks to her vampirism, and she only ever drank from a dark glass bottle. Once she was done setting the table, she brought the food out, and set it in the middle.

Lou growled angrily, not like being told what to do, or resisted, even in such a small scale way. One could say he had deep control issues. Angrily, he pulled his other arm back and slapped the back of her head, hard enough to make anyone dizzy. "Downstairs. NOW. And try not to vomit when you smell yourself."
Sterling, the younger of him and the brunette, glanced over his shoulder at the blonde. Sterling was generally new to the orphanage, having only been there a few months, and he didn't know the full extent of the horrors of this place. He had a few cuts or bruises here and there, but nothing compared to anyone else in the house. He offered up a tiny smile to the blond, holding out a delicate, pale hand to him. "Hello," he tried for the first time, noticing the boy watching them. The brunette immediately shook his shoulder, and pursed his lips at him, but Sterling was a naturally friendly, kind person.

Hannah fell to her knees when he hit her. The blow had made her vision blur. She winced and covered her head with her hands expecting to be struck again for falling over. "S-Sorry." She stuttered. She began to slowly crawl away from Lou. No matter what happened she knew she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry.
The blonde stared at Sterling's hand and then looked into the boy's eyes. He looked slightly confused by the act of friendship. He slowly extended his own hand out to Sterling, not sure what to do next.

Lou snarled, bringing his foot back and slamming it square into her ribs, before turning on his heel to exit the room. "Get downstairs and eat your dinner, unless you want to starve to death." He left the door open, a false sense of safety as he stomped up the stairs toward the boys. He was angry now, wanting to take his anger out on something that was a challenge, but he knew he'd have to wait until dinner was over.
Sterling gave a smile, grabbing the blonde's hand and shaking it slowly. "We've never spoken before," he said gently, his head tilted. "But we've slept in the room for a couple of months." The brunette, Blaz, nudged Sterling in the side gently, shaking his head worriedly, but remained silent.

Hannah coughed as she was kicked. After Louis had left the room, she slowly stood up, and wobbled out of the room and downstairs. She was already starving so she needed dinner in order to survive the night. Once she was in the dining hall she sat down in a rickety chair, and waited for her food.
Blaine nodded at Sterling, still a little confused. "Your boyfriend doesn't like me." He stated, making sure to frown. "Why's that?" He might have been reading Blaz and Sterling wrong, but all he could see was Blaz disapproving of the two boys talking, so he labelled him as the boyfriend of their relationship, if they had one.

El stared out the kitchen, watching Alex cook. He sneered, pulling his long hair into a tighter ponytail down his back. "You can't cook." He pointed out to the woman, his arms crossed annoyedly. "Not even for us. Why does he let YOU cook? I could do better than you." That was his take on mostly anything; he could do it better, and he should be doing it. Unfortunately, that wasn't always true.
Blaz made a funny expression, glancing back at the blonde with his eyes narrowed. "All of what you just said is untrue." He said, standing and putting his hands on his hips. "I don't 'not like' anyone. A-And Sterling and I aren't like that," he added immediately with a stammer. "I was worried about him talking to you because I wasn't sure if you'd want to talk, that's all." He looked kind of hurt, and immediately sat down elsewhere, his arms crossed.

Alex turned around and pointed a wooden spoon at El. "I cook very nicely thank you." She growled at him. "Maybe he let's me cook because of what I can offer..." She paused, her hair growing shorter and whiter, while her body grew taller. Her boobs disappeared, and her shouldes broadened out. "After all I have the best of both worlds." She smirked at El. "You jealous?"
Blaine's frown deepened. Blaz made him feel sorta guilty for his accusation. He quickly shook his head to banish his sympathetic thoughts from his head."Whatever." He scoffed, as he focused on watching the chained door.

El raised his eyebrow, leaning back against the kitchen fridge. "He lets you cook because you're a gender freak? Hmm... that sounds awfully chauvinistic to me. Hey, you're a woman, kind of, cook for us!" He grinned, obviously just kidding around now.
"Hey," Sterling frowned gently, scooting backwards to sit beside the boy. "We're all in this together. Blaz is just having a rough time, like anyone else. We're all friends in this room... right?" He stared at him gently, but jumped when the chains retracted loudly. He knew Lou was waiting outside, listening in to their conversation, waiting for them to say something to piss him off even further.

Alex's cheeks turned bright red. "THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" He shouted, picking up a pot and throwing it at El. "Don't be sexist either, do I look like a woman?" He ran his hands across his chest. "HUH? DO I?!" He turned back around and started stirring a pot full of soup. "God, could you not be so disgusting for a moment." Alex hated Sexist people, probably because she could be swap sexes at will, and be on both sides of the fence. Then again she hated El with a passion too.
Blaine shrugged. "Honestly I think it's every one of us for ourselves." He stared as the chains retracted. His eyes soon lost all color as he looked through the wall at Lou. "It's about time, I'm starving." He said, standing up and stretching his arms out.
