The Merry-Bess, a cruise ship designed around the idea of an old wooden Galleon. This was supposed to be a normal cruise which sailed through the Caribbean.
"Come experience the true ways to sail the sea, The Merry-Bess is a cruise ship like no other. Aboard this ship you will have the chance to re-enact the old European nobility, on the inside we have all fittings resembling those of the great halls in the 17th century, on the outside we have aimed for complete realism right down to the seasickness."
Thus was the advertising campaign. However something unexplainable was about to happen on its maiden voyage. The first day of travel had gone without a hitch, but on the second day a deep fog had settled and it wasn't until the next morning that they were to find the real meaning of this fog. As the passengers awoke the next morning they found that the engines had stopped and they were left drifting at sea, but that's not the only thing they found that was odd, not one adult was left on board, not even the crew. Left adrift with no idea what to do, what will the kids do? Where will they go? and what will happen on a boat with no adults? It wont take long for the children to realize that the fog not only took the parents but has granted them special abilities as well, but what does that have to do with the missing adults?

The air was cold and damp and the room seemed to be swaying back and forth, these were the first things she noticed as she woke that morning. This was not the lab she was accustom too and it took her a little while to remember she was on the cruise. They had told her it was a reward for the last few years of being a guinea pig but she didn't really care about it so much. With a lifeless sigh she pulled herself up into a sitting position, she was still wearing her dress from the night before, it had been quite late when she had returned the night before and she had obviously fallen asleep immediately. She grabbed her metal wrist and pulled it onto her lap, after checking it was still working fine she stood up and put her gloves on, this way no one would be able to tell. Walking into the living room of the cabin she stared across at her minders door, it was open so she had probably already left the cabin. Her only real function with accompanying her was for general maintenance to the machines in her body, after that she would run off with the young men on board.

The floor beneath him was rocking to and fro. It was dark too. Why was it so dark? Oh yeah, his eyes were closed. The boy opened his eyes, he was laying in a hammock. His short white hair was messy and unkept. He groggily sat up, rubbing his eyes, before looking around the room. How long had he been asleep? Was it day time or night, and where was everyone? He got on his feet and swayed a little bit, he was still really sleepy. He should probably try and find his parents, that would be a good first start. They were probably partying somewhere. He walked towards the door, yanked it open, and proceeded out of the room. He didn't even seem to notice how eerie and quiet the ship was.

In the bridge a young girl lay sleeping on the floor, in one hand she was holding a gun with her finger already poised on the trigger. Waking she pulled herself into a sitting position with the gun pointed out in front of her, as she opened her eyes she jumped to her feet in surprise. This was not where she remembered falling asleep, it was not like her to sleepwalk and it certainly wasn't normal for her to sleep in a place where people might see her. It took her a couple of moments to realize where she was, and what was more worrying that no-one was here piloting the ship. "I don't believe this." she muttered putting the gun back in the holster at her side under her skirt. Unlike the other passengers she had refused to dress-up while onboard and so she was dressed in a black fitted dress which wrapped around her arms and chest allowing for swift movement and it only hung loose from the waist down acting like a mini-skirt. The buckles and straps across the entirity of this dress were all mainly there for fashion, but she wore these clothes as she felt they were easiest to move around in. She looked around her and was unable to find her boots so she would have to get them from her room barefoot. Sighing she walked over to the wheel and stared out at the deck, there was nobody there, this was odd. Reaching over to the intercom she drew a breath and said "Will the captain and crew please return to their posts, they are not being paid to slack off." The intercom rang throughout the ship. After sending the announcement she replaced the microphone and left the bridge, heading down towards the galley to catch the skiving crew members, the ship did have an auto-pilot, but that was no excuse.

A girl with silver white hair sat up. She had been asleep somewhere on the deck. She looked around. Where was she? A ship? Why the hell was she there? She ran a hand through her hair, and almost let out a shout. Her hair was so disheveled. How did that happen? She quickly pulled her hair back into pig tails, the look suited her. She placed her hand on the eye patch covering her left hand to make sure it was still there. She stood up with a sigh of relief. Wait. Why was she dressed in a black pirate outfit that sort of resembled her convent attire? Must have been a crazy night last night. It was all a blur, alcohol was probably involved. She walked around the deck. Didn't she hear a voice over the intercom? Maybe someone could tell her what happened last night. She turned around, and ran off looking for the intercom.

Ai sighed as she left the room and stared around the empty corridor, she had just finished brushing her hair when she had heard the announcement on the intercom. Seriously, all adults seemed to do was cause problems. She stumbled across the dark corridors towards the bridge as her curiosity had gotten the better of her and she had wanted to try steering the ship while the crew had gone. Her metal hand would clunk softly against the wall as she ran with her arms spread wide because nobody was there and because it wasn't very often she got to run around.

Evangeline stretched her arms up over her head as she walked. This was place was like a ghost ship, empty and scarce. She knew she couldn't be the online one on board. She looked down a hallway, hearing what sounded like metal banging against the wall. She ducked back the way she came. Were there robots on this ship before? Eh she couldn't remember. It was probably just a machine malfunctioning. Either way she didn't want to use her energy figuring out what was making that noise, she needed to find another way to the intercom.

Ai suddenly stopped and sniffed the air, just around the corner was another person, she could tell somehow. Bringing her arm back to her side and making sure the glove covered the metal again she resumed her movement towards the bridge but now at a walking pace.

Meanwhile the boy on the ship was wandering around looking for something to eat. He was terribly hungry after his nap, if that's what it was. He ran a hand through his snow white hair and let out a yawn. He was still kind of tired. He payed no attention to the intercom incident. It didn't concern him, and who cared about the adults not doing their job. What was he even doing on this ship? It was kind of creepy. He made it to the deck, and looked around. He could taste the salt in the air. They must still be out to see. This was strange. "I must be going the wrong way, food isn't out here." He said, looking around.

"Oh really?" Saorin said stepping out of the shadows onto the deck behind the boy, she had already searched most of the ship and found no one but children aboard, in this sort of situation she figured it would be better to ask someone upfront. She had her hand rested on the gun at her side which she accessed through a split in the side of the dress which was just big enough for her to pull the gun through and wasn't noticeable should she not put her hand through it. This was a gift from her father for the voyage, he had been trying to convince her to show herself at the party and enjoy herself, but she had never really felt normal around people. "But is not the sea full of things that can be eaten?" she asked trying to make small talk so as to get him to converse with her more easily, however her voice was still somewhat cold and emotionless.

The boy looked over at Saorin. He had almost jumped when she'd spoken, she'd snuck up on him that was for sure. He tilted his head to the side. "If you're a fisherman or something like that, then yeah, but I'm not." He said, in a matter of fact tone. This girl was creepy, and mean looking. So the boy, ran past her and into the ship. He should probably try and avoid her for the rest of the trip on this ship. "She didn't sound very friendly." He said to himself when he stopped to catch his breath.
